Duffy Properties have been given an additional five years to build two warehouse units at Red Cow on the Old Newry Road.

The company were initially granted planning permission for the development in 2009 but it was never built, largely due to the recession and downturn in the construction sector.

However, Duffy’s have clearly not given up on the possibility of it one day coming to fruition having been granted an extension to their original planning permission by Louth County Council.

The development will cosist of two industrial warehouse buildings – one measuring 10.25m high and 1,620 square metres with the other set to be 8.785m high and 1,300 square metres in size.

Work at the site would also include the construction of 10 separate incubator/start up units, car parking layouts, cycle stands, entrance gates and walls and all associated landscaping and site development works.

The company have until November 1st 2019 to complete the building as per the terms of the planning order.
