The caravan park at Gyles’ Quay could be set for a major upgrade and extension.
The property at Maddoxland has been popular for years but now owners the Ferguson’s hope to improve it by catering for the new phenomenon of glamping.
Niall Ferguson has applied to Louth County Council for planning permission to extend the caravan park to include touring berths and glamping pods.
He is also seeking to change the house of the dwellinghouse on site to a short term holiday home while also constructing a new service building.
Louth County Council are due to make a decision on the matter on June 5th.
