A number of shots were fired at a house in the Muirhevnamor estate in the early hours of Monday morning.
The incident happened around 3.45am, with Gardaí currently investigating the incident.
No one was injured during the incident but anyone with any information on who is responsible is asked to contact Dundalk Garda Station.
