Gardaí are investigating reports of an attempted kidnapping in Mid-Louth over the week.
Two young men from Dublin claim they were held against their will, assaulted and robbed in Tallanstown.
According to LMFM, the 18-year-olds said the incident happened after they accepted a lift as they were walking back to their B&B from a pub in the village on Saturday night.
They claim a sum of money was taken from them and say they had to crawl through ditches to escape.
Gardaí confirmed to the station that the allegations are being investigated and that a vehicle has been seized for technical examination.
It has also been reported that a man in his 30s has been questioned about the alleged incident.
