The scene at Water Lodge this morning
Three cubes of diesel sludge have been discovered dumped in the north of the county.
The find was made at Water Lodge near Balregan in Kilcurry with around 3,000 litres of the toxic waste discovered.
One of the cubes is reported to be leaking towards the water course, while the road has been described as “very slippy”.
Local Gardaí are on the scene while Louth County Council will hope to remove the cubes later this morning.
