A new housing development is being planned for the Maxwell Terrace area of the Newry Road.
Chevron (Ireland) Atlantic Limited have applied to Dundalk Town Council for planning permission to demolish the five homes at Maxwell Terrace and Coogan’s Shop, which they paid almost €840,000 for back in 2011.
They plan to replace them with four residential houses, while they have also applied for planning permission for five years for two plant rooms at the site.
Dundalk Town Council are due to make a decision on the matter on September 10th.
