An extension has been planned for the HSE’s Health Centre on the Drumeenagh Road in Castlebellingham.
Project Manager Aidan Gilligan recently submitted a planning application with Louth County Council for the construction of a single storey extension (328.41sqm) to the rear (west) of the existing centre.
It is hoped this will provide additional consulting and treatment rooms and ancillary office space. There are also proposals for minor alterations to be carried out to the front of the existing building to the east and to the front to provide additional parking.
The council are due to make a decision on the matter by November 27th.
