New figures from the Revenue Commissioners have revealed that County Louth has the second lost compliance rate when it comes to paying the new property tax.
The tax, which had to be paid by the end of May, is now the responsibility of the Revenue Commissioners – who insist they will remove it from the wages or social welfare payments of those who haven’t already paid by next week.
Just 85% in Louth have so far paid, which is the second lowest rate in the country after Donegal’s 84%.
