Right 2 Water Dundalk are holding an anti water charges protest in Dundalk this Saturday afternoon to campaign against the introduction of water charges.
Those looking to get involved are asked to meet at the Fairgreen before 2pm, with the march then taking place to the Market Square.
The event will coincide with more than 50 other similar events around the country.
The protest comes following an incident in Ardee yesterday in which Gardaí seized a firearm when a homeowner produced it during a confrontation with an Irish Water worker trying to install a meter.
The incident occurred at 9.20am at a house at Home Farm, Townparks, Ardee. A Garda spokesman said no arrests had been made in relation to the incident and investigations are ongoing.
