Dundalk’s Lithuanian Community showed their kind nature earlier today when they showed up at Glen Gat Guesthouse to invite the Lee family to their concert in the Town Hall this evening.

Damien and Siobhan Lee had their world turned upside down recently when they returned from Sunday Mass to find their Lios Dubh home on fire. With the house extensively smoke damaged and the upstairs of the house completely destroyed, they and their children Evan (8), Aaron (5) and Cara (4) have been living in Glen Gat while the council look to restore their Armagh Road home in time to return for Christmas.

The family’s plight has featured in both the national and local media with the local Lithuanian Community inviting the Lees to their concert ‘O Lia Lia vaikai’ in the Town Hall at 6pm this evening, as well as a meeting with Santa beforehand.

You can keep up to date with the Dundalko Lietuvių Bendruomenė (Dundalk Lithuanian Community) via their Facebook page here.
