Dundalk FC have announced the signing of Ronan Finn from Shamrock Rovers.
The midfielder, a former Irish U-21 cap, is the latest addition to Stephen Kenny’s squad ahead of the new season.
Speaking to dundalkfc.com after signing for the club, Finn was pleased to finally get the deal done and pointed to his relationship with Kenny as a key factor in his move.
“I’m very happy to get it done finally. It was never in doubt really. It was going to happen but with holidays and work it just didn’t. It’s great to get it done and before Christmas as well is a plus. I can’t wait to get started and I am really happy to be at Dundalk.
“Stephen was the main reason I wanted to come here. I have a great relationship with him. I played really well for him before and I just want to get back to that again. He’s a really good person and he’s a great manager. It’s all positive and I am very excited about the year ahead now. Signing for the best club in the country is great and it’s a very exciting time for the fans and the town so hopefully we can push on and do well next year.”
