Everton full back Ben McLaughlin has joined Vanarama Conference side AFC Telford Utd on a one-month youth loan deal.
The Point Road man signed for the Toffees from Dundalk in August 2012 and penned a three-year deal with the Goodison Park outfit.
McLaughlin will be hoping to gain first team experience with the Bucks and is eligible to make his debut in Saturday’s FA Trophy contest against AFC Fylde.
Dundalk are due to face Everton in a friendly match as part of the deal for McLaughlin – grandson of former boss Jim – and it had been expected to take place before the start of the new League of Ireland season in March. If McLaughlin remains on loan though it remains to be seen if it will go ahead or not in the coming weeks.
