That’s according to new analysis from The Irish Daily Mirror which shows that heartbreak is a common occurance in the Wee County.
According to the newspaper, Louth has the third highest number of singletons in the country with 632 people unattached per 1,000 of population.
Only Dublin (656) and Limerick (633) were higher in the list.
According to the analysis, 52% of women in Louth were single – the joint second highest in the country – while 57% of men were unattached – the joint third highest.
Louth also had the second highest divorce or separation rate with 50 people per 1,000 of the population of the county split. Only Wexford and Wicklow (both on 51 per 1,000) had a higher rate of separation or divorce.
