A public discussion to highlight the miscarriage of justice against John Paul Wootton and Brendan McConville – also known as the Craigavon Two – will take place on Friday night at 7pm in Cornamucklagh House in Omeath.
Both men were convicted for the killing of PSNI officer Stephen Carroll in 2009 but there has been question marks over the evidence used in the case with Birmingham Six member Paddy Hill amongst those who believes the pair are innocent.
Doors open at 6.30pm on the night with independent Republican councillor Martin Rafferty and solicitor Darragh Mackn amongst the speakers, as well as representatives from both men’s families.
