Local consultants named on Revenue defaulters’ list

RevenueLogoTwo local consultants were named in the Revenue Commissioners’ latest defaulters’ list, which was released yesterday.

The biggest settlement was made by IT consultants Assured Business Software Ltd from Broughattin, Ravensdale, Dundalk, who made a settlement of €64,730 for underdeclaration PAYE/PRSI following a Revenue Audit Case.

Business consultants A McConnell & Associates Ltd, with an address at 10 Sandygrove Close, Blackrock, also made a settlement of €33,873 for underdeclaration of VAT & PAYE/PRSI following another Revenue Audit Case.

Meanwhile, haulier Oliver Burke, with an address at Silverhill Cross, Ardee, made a settlement of €68,334.60 for underdeclaration of VAT.

Elsewhere, Kilsaran and Castlebellingham-based grocery shop owner Enda Bell was fined €6,000 for failure to lodge income tax returns.

Farmer Barry Cunningham from Mooremount, Dunleer was also fined €5,000 for a similar offence with butcher John Durnin from Hammondstown, Dunleer fined €2,500 as well.

Another farmer, Seamus Flynn from Rockmarshall, Jenkinstown, Dundalk, was also fined €1,250 for failure to lodge income tax returns.

Farming and property letting agent John Prendergast from Main Street, Blackrock, was also fined €1,250 for the same offence.

Meanwhile, retailer Airmid, with an address at Oriel Property Management Ltd, 9 Francis Street, Dundalk, was fined €5,000 for failure to lodge corporation tax returns – a sum also imposed on mechanical engineering firm Sinalytic Ltd from 1 Rivervale Park, Dunleer for the same offence.

Elsewhere, Conleth Properties Ltd with an address at Ballygowan, Ardee, Gerard Bellew with an address at Charleville, Dunleer and Kevin McKeever from 3 St Michael’s Terrace, Carlingford were each fined €2,500 for misuse of marked mineral oil.

There was also a €5,000 fine for Andrew Esikpemi Omoh from 18 Woodville Manor, Tom Bellew Avenue, Dundalk for possession of an unregistered vehicle. John McDonagh from 28 The Green, Lennonstown Manor, Red Barns Road, Dundalk also received a €2,500 fine for a similar offence.

Finally, publican Bernard Conlon of Harrison’s, Main Street, Blackrock was fined €1,000 for failure to hold a current liquor licence.
