Gideon Kizmosop of the Project Africa Athletics group was the winner of the Patsy Kelly 5k in Dundalk at the weekend.
He came home in a time if 14:34, some 39 seconds ahead of second placed Paddy Hamilton of Slieve Gullion Runners.
Gideon’s clubmate Martin Cox was third in a time of 15:28, with North East Runners pair Brian McCluskey and Maurice McMahon completing the top five with times of 15:35 and 15:48 respectively.
The leading lady was Sarah Mulligan of DSD, who was 12th overall in a time of 16:49. Selznah Kangogo was the second lady finisher in a time of 17:37 with Anne Linden of Carrick Aces third in a time of 18:26.
