Businesses in Dundalk are set to make a savings on their annual rates bill.
Up until now businesses in Dundalk and Drogheda had a rate of valuation of €65 but following the abolition of Dundalk Town Council and Drogheda Borough Council last year, this is set to drop to €60.
There will be an increase for other businesses in Louth though, who had been on a lower rate of €55.36.
Each annual rate of valuation is multiplied by the value of the business premises.
By law each council has to ensure there is just one single commercial rate in their county within the next decade.
