Melissa Shanley was named the new Miss Louth in a ceremony at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Sunday night.
Melissa follows in the footsteps of last year’s winner Fionnuala Short, who went on to become runner-up in the Miss Ireland contest before secure a modelling contract in both Ireland and the UK.
First runner up at the event was Kayleigh Moran while second runner up was Megan Cordial.
Others to take part included Rachel Carroll, Louise Callaghan, Nicole Murphy, Kirstie McCormack and Lisa Casey.
