Louth will face a trip to Tipperary in the next round of the Qualifiers after overcoming Leitrim on a 1-16 to 0-11 scoreline in Drogheda on Saturday night.
In a game in which the Wee County were never headed, they led by 0-11 to 0-8 at the break with James Califf leading the way with three pointed frees.
The game was then put beyond doubt in the 48th minute when substitute Conor Grimes hit the neat to leave it 1-13 to 0-9.
