A retired travel agent from Dundalk left behind a will of over €1.6m following her death in April last year.
Kathleen McKenna of Oriel Terrace, Dundalk, left an estate of €1,681,436, according to the latest issue of Stubbs Gazette.
Known as Calie to friends, Kathleen worked in the Russell Travel Agency in Park Street with her brother Hugh (who died in April 2002) from 1974 until its closure in 1996.
Hugh was instrumental in the computerization of travel agencies in the North East and was treasurer of the Irish Travel Agents’ Association for over a decade.
