Gardai are investigating the cause of a fire at the Park Hotel on the Armagh Road last night.
The local fire service was called to the hotel around 11.30pm to deal with a small blaze in the golf clubhouse area.
The hotel, which is understood to be on the verge of being sold for close to its €1.5m asking price, has been closed since October 2010.
Last month a wily farmer broke into the grounds of the hotel to cut grass on the golf course in order to make bales of hay.
