4Youth will be amongst the exhibitors at the FÍS exhibition which launches in Dundalk IT at 6pm tonight.
4Youth is an online learning resource that provides tutorials in the areas of photography, video and audio. 4Youth is targeted toward teenagers aged between 12 and 18 and was rolled out in Dundalk Youth Centre in early May.
The aim of the project is to create an interest in the areas taught and provide people with basics skills in each.
The three modules presented are broken up into individual lessons, with each featuring supporting materials to help guide the learner. The supporting materials consist of exercises that allow the learner to practice what they have learnt as well as step-by-step guides, all which can be downloaded from the website. Lesson plans are provided also, which detail the overall learning outcomes from partaking in the lessons.
As 4Youth is a responsive website, the tutorials can be accessed via desktop and mobile phone making it ideal for those wanting to learn if they are out and about.
4Youth is made up of Naomi Reid, Fergal McCabe, Rachel McDonnell and Damien Rogers.
You can log onto www.4youthonline.com for more details.
FÍS launches at 6pm tonight in the Carroll’s Building of Dundalk IT and will be open until 9pm. It will also take place from 12 noon to 9pm tomorrow.
