Dundalk got back to winning ways with a hard fought 2-1 victory away to Sligo Rovers at The Showgrounds last night.
The Lilywhites found themselves trailing inside the opening 10 minutes when Morten Nielsen put the home side in front.
Stephen Kenny’s side were back on level terms just after the half hour mark though when the unfortunate Danny Ledwith turned the ball into his own net from Daryl Horgan’s cross.
Richie Towell then ensured the victory in the second half, slotting home a penalty after Alan Keane was adjudged to have handled in the box.
Dundalk are next in action on June 26th when they host Limerick FC at Oriel Park.
