The male and female course records were smashed at the third annual Patsy Kelly 5k in Dundalk on Saturday evening.
Up to 900 people took part in the race with Peter Brandon of Kenya leading the field home in a new record time of 14.46.
Meanwhile, Irish international athlete Anne Marie McGlynn won the ladies race in another course record time of 16.38.
Fresh from his world record exploits, Brian Lynch of North East Runners won the over-60s category in a time of 17.16. North East Runners also won both the mens and ladies team prizes.
